On the Occasion of The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation’s 20th Anniversary, the Foundation Organises the Annual
“Give Blood, Save Lives” Blood Donation Activity, Spreading Joyfulness from the Heart of Selfless Giving.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation, the Foundation together with the King Power Group, continued the intention of spreading joyfulness and cultivating the heart of selfless giving by organising the annual “Give Blood, Save Lives” blood donation activity. The Foundation’s CEO’s, staff members of the King Power Group, and the Rangnam Community members have been invited to take part in the activity as the ‘givers’ of blood which are collected by the Foundation and later delivered to the National Blood Centre of the Thai Red Cross Society, throughout 2024.

Khun Aimon Srivaddhanaprabha, Chairman of King Power Group, said that in the past 20 years, since the establishment of the King Power Foundation in 2004, (later changed to the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation in 2019), the Foundation had continually organised charitable activities to strengthen the motto of “Selfless Giving”, a motto belonging to Khun Vichai, the late Chairman of King Power Group. Realising the tremendous value of blood donation in saving fellow humans’ lives, the Foundation places the “Give Blood, Save Lives” as the priority activity for society and has been working hand in hand with the National Blood Centre of the Thai Red Cross Society to collect blood from donating ‘givers’. In 2023, approximately 422,200 CC of blood was collected and delivered to the Centre, whereby this volume equates to the ability to save as many as 3,102 fellow human lives.

This year, the Foundation and King Power Group have scheduled six “Give Blood, Save Lives” events. These events are scheduled on 5 April, 8 July, and 7 October 2024, at King Power Rangnam and King Power Suvarnabhumi airport, and on 19 April, 16 July, 18 October 2024 at King Power Phuket.

In addition to “Give Blood, Save Lives” activity, the Foundation is also fully committed to promoting, supporting, and creating opportunities for people in the society through various educational and public health projects and activities such as scholarship programs and new-born baby incubator donations. As a result of the Foundation’s commitment, since 2020, the Foundation granted a total of 55 scholarships to students; and since 2562, donated a total of 80 incubators to 80 hospitals in 71 rural provinces in different regions of Thailand.
